It’s official. The search is over. I have finally found my smoothie soul mate. And, of course, it’s a tropical beauty. This really should come as no surprise. I have always felt a strong draw to the tropics. I mean, what's not to love? Warm breezes, sunwashed days, and the smell of the ocean in the air. Oh, and fruit. From guava to mangos to pineapple, almost all of my favorite fruits come from the tropics. So, when Los Angeles started having some tropical weather patterns over the last week or so, I felt inspired to whip up a breakfast that suited the mood! With vitamin C-packed citrus, antioxiant-rich berries, and digestion-friendly pineapple, this smoothie is super nourishing and tastes like a tropical getaway. 

 

Ingredients

  • 1 whole grapefruit, quartered and peeled
  • juice of half a lime
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • ½ cup frozen pineapple
  • ½ cup of Califia tangerine juice

Directions

Add all ingredients to a high powered blender. Blend on low until ingredients are well-incorporated and then turn blender up to medium-high setting and blend until ingredients are smooth. Pour into your favorite glass (or jar!) and enjoy!
