If you follow me on Instagram, then you already know that I have officially declared this the summer of salads. Summer is definitely my favorite season of the year and one of the reasons is that I naturally tend to want to eat much fresher and cleaner. Oh, don't you worry, decadent-food-lovers. There will be a time when things will get dirty again. But for now, I'm all about the salads.

I love this salad, in particular, because it's creamy, tangy, spicy, crunchy, and fresh--basically, a party in your mouth. Plus, it's packed with nourishing ingredients that will heal your body from the inside out like radish sprouts, which contain cancer-fighting lignin, and antioxidant-rich sauerkraut. (There are many different types of sauerkraut and it’s pretty easy to make your own, but I particularly like the red beet and cabbage sauerkraut made by Wildbrine because of its pop of gingery flavor.)

Also, if you’ve never used any of Majestic Garlic’s spreads before, I highly recommend you check them out immediately! The original creamy garlic one is made with omega-3-rich flax seed oil and tons of fresh garlic, which is known for providing a long list of health benefits. This stuff has truly revolutionized my salad-making adventures because it adds so much rich, creamy flavor and it’s so nutritious that it’s a 6-time winner of the America’s Best Food Award! Ok, I’m getting hungry now, so on to salad making…

Ingredients

*The measurements are really not important for a salad like this. I added them for people who really like to have measurements, but if you want to throw in more or less of any of the ingredients—have at it!

Directions

Toss all of the ingredients together and enjoy! When has doing something good for your body ever been so easy?!
