Some mornings, I just wake up craving chocolate and since I’m a big believer in listening to my body, I decided to create a beautifully nourishing cacao tonic that I can enjoy whenever those cravings strike.

This tonic combines some of my very favorite healing ingredients. Magnesium- and antioxidant-rich raw cacao powder combines with luscious almond milk and ultra-nutritious coconut oil to form a rich, chocolate base. Hormone-balancing maca, immunity-boosting astragalus root, and longevity-supporting reishi give this tonic a powerfully healing punch, while warming cinnamon and cayenne take the flavor to the next level. Add in a couple of drops of sweet Butterscotch-Toffee stevia and you’ve got yourself an ultra-dreamy tonic that elevates your mind, body, and soul.


  • 1 cup of almond milk (Califia unsweetened almond milk is my favorite)
  • 1 tsp extra virgin coconut oil
  • ½ tbsp of cacao powder
  • ½ tsp maca powder
  • ¼ tsp reishi powder
  • ¼ tsp astragalus powder
  • ¼ tsp Ceylon cinnamon
  • a pinch of cayenne
  • 2-3 drops of Omica Organics Butterscotch-Toffee Liquid Stevia



Add almond milk and coconut oil to a small saucepan and heat gently on low to medium heat, stirring constantly, until well-combined and steaming. Transfer mixture to a blender and add all other ingredients. Blend for 10 seconds on low and then on high for another 10 seconds until ingredients are well-combined and frothy. Pour into a serving vessel, sprinkle with cinnamon and cayenne if desired, and enjoy.
